Somatic Psychotherapist, Yoga Educator, & Mentor
I am drawn to the quiet strength that humans summon in the face of daily trials—the subtle, steadfast ways we cultivate resilience amid life’s chaos. With a deep yearning to move through the world with intention and care, I believe that embodiment is not just a practice, but a way of being—an anchoring in the body’s quiet wisdom. For over twenty years, the path of yoga and mindful movement has been my compass, guiding me to explore how our relationship with the body echoes outward: shaping how we relate to others, to the earth, and to each moment. Through awareness, presence, and connection, I continue to learn how the body tells the truth—and how, by listening, we find our way.
Work With ME
Somatic Psychotherapy
Somatic psychotherapy, or body-based approaches to therapy, engage the deep connection between body and mind as a pathway to healing. Beyond traditional talk therapy, sessions may include gentle invitations to notice physical sensations, explore embodied responses to trauma, chronic stress, or major life changes, and cultivate a greater sense of presence and regulation. This work honors the body as a source of insight, resilience, and restoration. I currently welcome clients at Heart Stone Counseling in South Portland. You're invited to schedule a FREE 15-minute consultation to see if this approach feels like the right fit for you.

In Hatha Yoga, you will practice a series of standing and seated poses with longer holds in each position. Hatha classes do not include "vinyasas," and we often use walls and props to help explore the details of effort and sensation.

Movement in Stillness: Restorative Yoga Teacher Training
Learn the art and science of teaching Restorative Yoga.
Restorative Yoga uses supported poses to allow your body and nervous system the space it requires to rest and be held by the earth. This deeply grounding practice lets you experience a yielded space while turning your awareness towards your breath and more subtle somatic sensations. The purpose is to bring your body, heart, and mind into a responsive place so that you can creatively show up for yourself and others.
