Sukha: good space

I recently heard yoga teacher Leslie Kaminoff describe sukha as 'good space."  And so it would go that the opposite of sukha is dukha, which means "bad space".  In our yoga practice, we are looking to find ways to create good space.  We as practitioners need to recognize what we need to do for ourselves in order to find good space.

Is it:

  • to do less? or to do more?
  • by listening to your inner voice telling you how far, how deep to go?
  • by releasing expectations about your body?
  • by getting out of your own way?

Maybe it's allowing the good space you feel to expand and inform the rest of your body, your heart and mind
